Happiness

Let's begin this article with a story that I will create as I write this blog.
Scene is set up back in the days when cameras had a film reel and televisions weighed 100 lb.
Once there lived a boy along with his parents, introvert, no siblings, in a big city. Quite well off, the family had a house they owned, a scooter to swish around and a kind neighborhood. What looks to be a rather normal and quite subtle start to this story is what all that's necessary.
The kid had his way of keeping himself busy as the parents took shear grinding, working to make their well off living last longer.
They would take off in the morning right after the kid was ready for school and come back late after the long sun set under the city's tall buildings.
The undisturbed silence in the house would however continue even after their return. They would sit and eat discretly around the television which made all the noise in the hall. This never bothered him much as he was around wonderful company. Himself. He would talk all day about Power rangers, cricket, trees, cows, sparrows, squirrels, to himself. He certainly had questions about all of them, none answered by the ones he sought for. This didn't bog him down as he found reasonable ones from a fanciful world of his own. A wise stuffed parrot for serious conversations. A rocker giraffe for a breeze talk. An old tire to walk with him down the street. A bicycle for when he wanted to just sit and watch the world be. He had it all to be happy.

Now, I want this story to be as unconventional as the kid is. Let's just pause. Looking from a "modern perspective", the boy sounds to be crazy for sure. Nonetheless we aren't complaining.
Let's replace this character with a 30 year old man who talks to himself and converses with trees and birds. If you now tend to picture drugs or a vagrant, its time to feel sorry for yourself because that's where the this generation's knowledge about oneself has got to.

We send a million texts every day to the ones we love, hate, fear, respect, envy and wait for a reply. Our moods revolve around the results of a text message sent by anybody we recognise. We probe about what someone is are up to, just to keep a conversation moving, without recognizing that it would make no difference to us, while we submit all the awareness about the present moment to a text. We use fancy status of being in depressive states just to attain certain attention.
The word depression makes me wonder why would someone ever invent such a disease. Several reports say, it drives one into a dark isolated lonely place.
Let's interogate that statement.
Reason; Dark is when you are sad because something you did not like happened at sometime in the past (anything till this moment is past)
Fact; the world is not a genie. It doesn't run on rubbing lamps and wishing.
Reason; Isolation is a process of separating one element from the rest.
Fact; Isolation is a game played back in the days when we were kids. Grown ups cannot isolate their own thoughts, forget people.
Reason; Lonely is apparently a feeling of realising there is no one to be with.
Fact; Loneliness is hypothetical because you have yourself with you at all times.

Being alone doesn't mean you've to do drugs, brim yourself with alcohol or choke tar down your throat. They are habits of petty humans who are sick of surviving.
Summing up depression, it is just an illustration of angry babies hitting themselves because it hurts more to hit walls.

Happiness is your nature's sole medium to connect to a universe of everything and nothing existing in the same moment. A universe where trees talk and stuffed parrots reflect what you feel deep within. A universe where squirrels, sparrows and cows are wonders of nature, as they are. A universe where a bicycle takes you to all corners of all the planets you have created explicitly the way you wanted them to be. A universe where a walk is endless with a tire of time along side you. A universe where the world is within you and you watch the world from a distance. A universe where darkness is a region yet to be found. A universe where god isn't isolated from you. Find your way of reaching a state of happiness. Happiness is meditation.
