Happiness

Let's begin this article with a story that I will create as I write this blog. Scene is set up back in the days when cameras had a film reel and televisions weighed 100 lb. Once there lived a boy along with his parents, introvert, no siblings, in a big city. Quite well off, the family had a house they owned, a scooter to swish around and a kind neighborhood. What looks to be a rather normal and quite subtle start to this story is what all that's necessary. The kid had his way of keeping himself busy as the parents took shear grinding, working to make their well off living last longer. They would take off in the morning right after the kid was ready for school and come back late after the long sun set under the city's tall buildings. The undisturbed silence in the house would however continue even after their return. They would sit and eat discretly around the television which made all the noise in the hall. This never bothered him much as he was around wonderful compa...

Identification crisis

Before we go deep into this conversation, I want you to lend me your at most attention because this article needs it all. Let's begin. Definition of the word 'identity' is, 'The fact of being who the person or a situation is'. The word 'identification' means, 'The act of identifying a person or a situation authentically. (The plain truth). These two words are the most fragile, yet the most impactful in any kind of society (human or non-human). Why and how is what I'll try to put through, here. Identifying is an unconscious act that all humans have evolved to develop. All the while, judging the identity is what makes this phenomenon so fragile. Consider this example. As you go on reading the list below, start imagining one clear image of them adjacently. A nose An ear A stool A car A man A woman A demon Heaven Hell Great. Now, if you carefully observe, the first three elements don't quite change even if you think about varieties ...

Feminism (in my MOTHER land)

Feminism. A word that is flashing all over social media and if you still haven't put your head down and tried to understand what it means, here you go, 'equal rights to women as men'. The law is blind (or is just too ignorant). It says all humans are equal before the law and yet, men, somehow sneak in their dominance in one odd way. (*caughing* Salman Khan). Let's dig into the point deeper. Equal rights are theoretically served to both sexes. In a country like India, men have distributed rights and freedom to women in their own religious ways. This act of pushing down women has been there since the earliest times and with an honest determination have men carried it on, to be so. The world spins around and societies change as well. This oppression is now very slowly, being pushed away by the urban women. we read tweets saying "Kudos! alas! you go girls! #girlpower" hmph. really? is this oppression being really taken off? Are we finally going to see a harmo...

Will we ever love?

Will we ever love? Love. A Million songs, a million more tales and how many are the poems we've written and sung and watched and pretended to the feeling of love. The question still remains unanswered and uncalled for. Humans are considered to be way ahead of rest of the organisms on this planet ( well, we claim ourselves to be so. ) And all the charts on evolution and books on geography and environmental sciences show us all the advancement we've made ahead of the rest. REALLY? Let's look back at our achievements glorified by ourselves alone! 1. Dodos were wiped out in 10 years of their existence after we invented guns. 'Dodos' were the target scoreboards. Yea we invented guns and couldn't come up with an aim board. 2. Mammoths came unto a pause in their reproduction as the rate of their births was quarter times them being killed. Yes we came up with stick with a sharp end and nearly ended 30 times bigger sized mammals. 3. We've hunted down tigers and ...

A word on problems

A word on problems Google says a problem is a matter regarded as 'unwelcome' and is something that has to be overcome. Let's stop Google right there and give it a thought. What are problems. why do we have problems? Is this the most challenging thing in our lives? Are problems our first priority to work upon? Should it be so? Let's think. When we think of the word happiness we think about a lot of stuff sometimes materialistic, sometimes a color, sometime about family, friends, or just the environment in our heads. We have given happiness such good elements in our heads. But, when it comes to being sad we tend to just feel 'darkened' and nothing materialistic pops inside. So does this mean, at a very basic level, that we have not understood sadness very well? Or are we just scared to materialise sadness? Things when going well, will never be questioned. Because, why bother something which going on well?  But, when things get rough, we tend to observe all ele...

A word on prayer

(noun, a solemn request for help)? I put a '?' Mark deliberately. Is it always help? Is it always mere wish? What is a prayer, then? We pray every single day. A million times. At a million places. Whenever in trouble or feel like getting into one. What all do we pray for and to whom do we do this. Let's look upon closely. Yes God, the creator himself, the mind and soul of all is the one we target. My question is, is it necessary? Let's see. Here are the most basic things we beg from the god WE have all created. HEALTH We eat chemical induced unhealthy, stale, stomach killing food and beg for good (great) health. Do u think God gave us this brilliant body with all its magnficance without giving it ,the power to fight diseases? The power to look after itself? The power to survive? LONG LIFE We live in a so called modernised world where competition rules our mind and stress, our body. We eat on each other's loss. We stump the hard working fellow down and try to...

A word on religion

Google this time is very diplomatic, I must say. It tells me ,a religion can just be faith in a super human power. (I'm smiling at Google's intelligence). 2 questions. What is a religion technically ,and why a religion? I don't know if we can ever conclude on a topic like this but, let me try pulling it down. Religion is a collective group of human beings trying to get curious on philosophical and spiritual elements of life and trying to give it an outlook as a whole. (Remember ,a religion never writes down rules. It's only an attempt for an outlook.) A religion is not formed by human force physically. It is just a glueing of people having similar philosophical mindsets and thoughts. The origin of a religion just happens as naturally as dense clouds getting together to pour down as rain or all the stars coming up at a time in the sky making them innumerable. So, such a group gets in more humans they start to promote their way of thinking into other men. Some under...
